Despite having to do things a bit differently due to the COVID-19 pandemic, STARS is saying its 2020 home lottery was its most successful one yet.
The home lottery, which is the emergency service’s largest fundraiser of the year, sold out two weeks prior to the June 25 Early Bird deadline and raised around $2.75 million.
'We are grateful to our allies for helping us achieve a record-breaking lottery, especially during these challenging times,' Andrea Robertson, STARS president and CEO, said in a news release Friday.
'With many of our fundraising events cancelled or modified, a sold-out lottery is critical to our ongoing operations. We congratulate all the winners, and we can't thank the people of Saskatchewan enough for their support.'
